Gal . Ikariae Supsp .Snogerupii . Greece , Aegean islands and the islands and the island of Ikaria were the snowdrop was first collected ,hence the name . Well shaped flowers .Leaves supper volute ,broad re-curving ,dark matt-green ,rolled or occasional longitudinal folds.Outer segments rounded ,bluntly pointed at apex . Inner segments variable ,large broad green – mark , covering roughly half segment collected on Ikaria .Royal botanic Gardens , Kew , described as new species . always flower here early mid December , in sunny dry environment , little need for additional feeding
