Galanthus ” Starling ” elwesii Hybr  Double .  Quirky, interestingly shaped, although rather ungainly looking , outward facing  double  with long  lasting flowers, erect scapes with curved spathe  and short pedicel. Leaves broad , erect to arching , grey – green. Outer segments variable , three to five , slender , incurved margins , bluntly pointed at apex , occasional light  green marks above apex . Inner segments tight, neatly packed ruff , the outer whorl of witch are  spreading , Good green deep inverted “Y”  shaped mark above sinus almost to base .  Exhibited at RHS spring show  2014  Alan Street .
